A Mission Close to My Heart: Supporting Women’s Heart Health
2026 Woman of Impact Meagan Glazier
On February 6, National Wear Red Day, I stepped into a role that means more to me than I can fully express.
I’m honored to be participating in the American Heart Association – Middle Tennessee Woman of Impact Campaign, an initiative dedicated to advancing women’s heart health and increasing awareness around the symptoms, risks, and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
For me, this mission is deeply personal.
Several years ago, my mom survived a sudden and life-threatening SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection) heart attack. It was unexpected, frightening, and a powerful reminder that heart disease does not always look the way we think it should, especially in women. Thanks to extraordinary medical care, ongoing research, and the dedication of organizations like the American Heart Association, she is still here with us today. That reality is not something I take for granted.
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death among women, yet awareness around female-specific symptoms and risk factors still lags behind. Women often experience symptoms differently than men, and too many warning signs go unrecognized or dismissed.

From now through April 15, I will be raising funds and sharing educational resources to help the following:
Increase awareness of women’s heart health
Support critical research
Advocate for better prevention and early detection
Empower women in our community to prioritize their cardiovascular health
At The Retail Team at Lee & Associates, relationships and community are at the core of everything we do. Supporting this campaign aligns with our belief that strong communities are built on care, leadership, and action.

If you feel called to get involved, there are several meaningful ways to support:
Contribute to the campaign (see link here)
Share this message with your network
Help spread awareness about the signs and symptoms of heart disease in women
Every conversation, every share, and every contribution helps move this mission forward.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me and for supporting the American Heart Association and the fight for women’s heart health.
Together, we can make an impact that truly saves lives.
